He has worked with many manufacturers and retailers over the years. Prior to starting High Point, Phil was the GM at Down River Equipment and an independent sales rep before that. Down River enjoyed increases in sales and operational efficiency that set company records; 2005, 2006 & 2007 were consecutively the most profitable years on record at Down River. While a rep, one vendor named Phil “Rep of the Year” while another awarded him with the “Largest Increase in Sales”.
Randy Thompson | sales representative
With a solid background in the ski and paddle sport retail business, Randy brings a great deal of experience to the High Point sales team. His experience as a buyer, shop manager, e-commerce manager and retail salesman allows Randy to truly understand the challenges faced by retailers and manufacturers alike. From working the retail floor to most recently managing Maison de Ski, a retail and rental ski and snowboard shop in Idaho Springs, CO he takes these life experiences and applies them to his role as manufacture sales representative.
Zach Svoboda / client coordinator
With an extensive background in retail sales and customer service, Zach is a valuable member of the High Point team. He has worn many hats in the world of retail as general manager, purchaser, inventory specialist, customer service and sales. When not working with our clients you can find him playing in Colorado's backcountry. His passions include biking, rafting, hiking, skiing, traveling and camping. He has a wonderful wife who shares his love of the outdoors and has climbed all of Colorado's 14,000 foot peaks. They have two outdoor loving dachshunds and recently had their first child. They are excited to introduce the joys and wonders of the outdoors to him. Zach's ultimate adventures combine family, friends, the great outdoors and cooking.
Throughout his 12+ years of retail and sales experiences, Zach has developed a keen understanding of how to work with retail customers, retail shops, and product manufacturers. His familiarity with all aspects of the different buying channels as well as his knowledge of push/pull marketing allow him to offer unique perspectives and useful suggestions to every client. He considers himself extremely fortunate to be able to combine his love of the outdoors with his business and customer service background.
Ralph G. Rosenberg | certified management consultant
Ralph brings a strong background to our team with considerable expertise in developing financially based studies to assist entrepreneurs get funding for their start up, expansion, or purchase of an existing business or to sell their business. He has worked with over 200 companies in many functional business areas, both in the US and overseas, including outdoor recreation, food & beverage, medical, veterinary, auto repair, retail and health.
Ralph started climbing mountains in Washington State when he was ten years old. He summited Mount Rainer for the first time a few days after his sixteenth birthday. He went on to earn the “six peak pin” from the Tacoma Mountaineers two years later. He has a Masters Degree in Systems Management and has been a Certified Management Consultant since 1995. He and his wife and family love to camp, hike, and fly fish.
Jon Zalinski | retail specialist
Our retail optimization specialist, Jon Zalinski, was in key roles at Summit Canyon Mountaineering in Glenwood Springs. During Jon’s 10 plus years there he helped to grow the company from 6 employees in one location to a company of over 50 employees in 4 locations. He has experienced it all; he started at Summit Canyon as a sales person and worked his way to Vice President. He fine tuned all his retail skills to achieve results for Summit Canyon.
Katarina Greene | marketing specialist
Katarina, the founder of Peace of Mind Marketing, offers marketing and business development experience with a focus on online and event marketing for the sports, health and outdoor channels. With over 7 years of national and international marketing experience, her strength of service is founded in project and goal oriented methods with a focus on strategy, execution, and evaluating success against a plan. As a competitive athlete for 17 years and now recreational athlete, she lives and breathes the lifestyle. Katarina works with The National Sports Center for the Disabled, Fat Tire Classic (owned by NSCD), Body Bar Systems, USA Wrestling, Lara Bar, Powerade, Puma, GoLite, Neve.
